ElectraNova Engineering Journal (ENEJ) is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to publishing pioneering research at the forefront of electrical engineering, power electronics, renewable energy integration, high-voltage technology, and next-generation smart grid architectures. Symbolizing a new era of electrical innovation and energy transformation ("ElectraNova"), the journal serves as a premier scholarly forum for electrical engineers, energy systems researchers, power electronics specialists, smart grid architects, and industrial hardware innovators worldwide. ENEJ prioritizes high-impact empirical research, advanced circuit modeling, hardware prototype validations, energy efficiency analyses, and control system optimizations. By synthesizing classical electromagnetic principles with novel wide-bandgap semiconductors, digital energy management algorithms, and decentralized power distribution, the journal fosters a deep, comprehensive understanding of how novel electrical engineering solutions drive energy transition, industrial electrification, and technological resilience.

Scope and Topics
Reflecting its mandate to advance frontier electrical engineering and energy technology innovations, the journal welcomes high-quality original research articles, systematic technical reviews, computational modeling studies, and field-tested hardware evaluations within the following thematic areas:
  • Power Electronics, Energy Conversion & Wide-Bandgap Devices: Silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) applications, high-efficiency converters and inverters, wireless power transfer, motor drives, and thermal management in electronics.
  • Smart Grid Architectures, Microgrids & Renewable Integration: Smart power distribution, solar and wind grid integration, energy storage system (ESS) management, microgrid control algorithms, and grid-tied power quality enhancement.
  • High-Voltage Engineering, Insulation & Power Systems: Dielectric materials, high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission, insulation diagnostics, power transformer optimization, and surge protection mechanisms.
  • Electrification, Electric Vehicles (EV) & Transportation Systems: EV powertrain design, battery management systems (BMS), fast-charging infrastructure, smart mobility electrification, and aerospace/maritime electrical propulsion.
  • Control Systems, Embedded Power AI & Industrial Automation: Edge-AI in power systems, real-time control algorithms, digital twins for electrical hardware, smart sensing networks, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
Publication Frequency
To ensure rigorous editorial oversight, thorough peer review, and the timely dissemination of electrical engineering research, ENEJ is published semi-annually (2 issues per year, typically scheduled for release in June and December). Special thematic issues focusing on wide-bandgap semiconductor applications, EV fast-charging grid dynamics, or microgrid resilience may be commissioned by the Editorial Board.

Peer Review Process
ENEJ enforces a strict double-blind peer review policy to maintain the highest standards of technical integrity, experimental repeatability, and methodological validity across electrical and power engineering disciplines.
  • Initial Desk Evaluation: Every submission undergoes a preliminary screening by the Editor-in-Chief or a relevant Engineering Subject Editor to assess technical alignment, methodological soundness (circuit simulation rigor, hardware prototype testbed validation, mathematical derivation accuracy, or experimental measurements), and structural compliance. Plagiarism screening via Turnitin/iThenticate is strictly executed at this stage, requiring a similarity index below the journal's maximum threshold.
  • Expert Peer Review: Manuscripts passing the desk evaluation are anonymized and assigned to at least two independent international reviewers who are established academic researchers, senior electrical engineers, or industrial power electronics specialists.
  • Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editorial Board renders one of four decisions: Acceptance, Revisions Required (Minor/Major), Resubmit for Review, or Rejection. The final decision rests entirely on intellectual merit, technical rigor, experimental clarity, and potential industrial or technological impact.

Mission Statement: "The mission of the ElectraNova Engineering Journal (ENEJ) is to advance global electrical engineering scholarship by publishing transformative research that optimizes energy conversion, accelerates electrification, and builds resilient, sustainable power systems worldwide. Grounded in the philosophy that future global prosperity depends on efficient, clean, and reliable electrical energy systems, the journal aims to democratize advanced engineering research by providing an unrestricted platform for global academic, technical, and industrial dialogue. Through the promotion of diverse, rigorous experimental, computational, hardware-in-the-loop, and analytical methodologies, ENEJ seeks to empower electrical engineers, inspire technological pioneers, and shape future-proof energy paradigms globally."
