Journal of Advanced Telecom and Engineering (JATE) is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to publishing pioneering research in modern telecommunications, optical and wireless communication architectures, signal processing algorithms, network engineering, and space-ground integrated networks. Positioned as a premier engineering and information technology scholarly forum, the journal serves telecommunications engineers, network software architects, RF hardware engineers, signal processing specialists, satellite communication researchers, and information theory analysts worldwide. JATE prioritizes high-impact empirical research, hardware prototype evaluations, mathematical communication channel modeling, network protocol simulations, and field-tested engineering studies. By synthesizing physical-layer communication engineering with cloud-native network virtualization, digital signal processing, and emerging sub-terahertz technologies, the journal fosters a deep, comprehensive understanding of how next-generation connectivity infrastructures drive global digital transformation, edge computing systems, and intelligent network autonomy.

Scope and Topics
Reflecting its mandate to advance frontier telecommunication systems and cross-disciplinary communication engineering, the journal welcomes high-quality original research articles, systematic technical reviews, quantitative network simulation studies, and physical hardware evaluations within the following thematic areas:
  • Wireless Communication Systems: Wireless communication, mobile communication, antenna systems, and radio technologies.
  • Optical Communication Systems: Optical communication, fiber optics, and optical systems.
  • Embedded Systems & Microcontrollers: Microcontroller-based systems, embedded electronics, digital systems, sensors, control, and real-time applications.
  • Signal Processing & Information Theory: Advanced modulation and coding schemes, channel estimation and equalization, beamforming optimization, machine learning for signal classification, and quantum communications.
  • Satellite & Communication Systems: Satellite, wireless, IoT, sensor, and vehicular communication systems.

Publication Frequency
To ensure rigorous editorial oversight, thorough peer review, and the timely dissemination of telecommunication and engineering research, JATE is published semi-annually (2 issues per year, typically scheduled for release in June and December). Special thematic issues focusing on 6G physical layer innovations, open RAN security and deployment, or satellite-terrestrial network integration may be commissioned by the Editorial Board.

Peer Review Process
JATE enforces a strict double-blind peer review policy to maintain the highest standards of technical integrity, mathematical rigor, and experimental repeatability across telecommunications and electronic engineering disciplines.
  • Initial Desk Evaluation: Every submission undergoes a preliminary screening by the Editor-in-Chief or a relevant Telecom Subject Editor to assess technical alignment, methodological soundness (channel modeling accuracy, numerical simulation rigor, prototype measurement validity, or mathematical proof correctness), and structural compliance. Plagiarism screening via Turnitin/iThenticate is strictly executed at this stage, requiring a similarity index below the journal's maximum threshold.
  • Expert Peer Review: Manuscripts passing the desk evaluation are anonymized and assigned to at least two independent international reviewers who are established academic researchers, senior telecommunication specialists, or industrial R&D leaders in the relevant domain.
  • Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editorial Board renders one of four decisions: Acceptance, Revisions Required (Minor/Major), Resubmit for Review, or Rejection. The final decision rests entirely on intellectual merit, technical rigor, experimental clarity, and potential industrial or technological impact.

Mission Statement: "The mission of the Journal of Advanced Telecom and Engineering (JATE) is to advance global telecommunication scholarship by delivering rigorous, evidence-based research that pushes the boundaries of connectivity, network efficiency, and signal transmission technologies. Grounded in the philosophy that seamless, secure, and ultra-fast global communication forms the backbone of future human and technological progress, the journal aims to democratize advanced engineering research by providing an unrestricted platform for global academic, technical, and industrial dialogue. Through the promotion of diverse, rigorous experimental, computational, mathematical, and field-analytical methodologies, JATE seeks to empower telecommunication engineers, inspire industry innovators, and shape future-proof, highly resilient connectivity paradigms worldwide."
