Journal of Converged Engineering and Technology (JCET) is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to publishing pioneering research at the multi-faceted convergence of classical engineering branches, emerging digital technologies, cyber-physical architectures, and sustainable technological deployment. Positioned as a premier interdisciplinary engineering scholarly forum, the journal serves mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, chemical, and software engineers, as well as industrial technology strategists and systems architects worldwide. JCET prioritizes high-impact empirical research, convergent system designs, computational optimizations, experimental prototype validations, and cross-disciplinary technical frameworks. By synthesizing physical engineering hardware with artificial intelligence, smart materials, Internet of Things (IoT) sensing, and advanced manufacturing processes, the journal fosters a deep, comprehensive understanding of how convergent engineering practices solve complex infrastructural, industrial, and environmental challenges.

Scope and Topics
Reflecting its mandate to champion interdisciplinary engineering integration and technological convergence, the journal welcomes high-quality original research articles, systematic technical reviews, computational modeling studies, and field-tested engineering evaluations within the following thematic areas:

Smart Materials, Advanced Manufacturing & Additive Technologies: Metamaterials, functional composite synthesis, additive manufacturing process optimization, bio-inspired structural design, and smart material actuation.

Cyber-Physical Systems, Industrial IoT & Embedded Automation: Edge computing in industrial systems, sensor networks, digital twin architectures, real-time control systems, and human-machine collaborative systems.

AI, Robotics & Machine Intelligence in Engineering: Physics-informed neural networks (PINNs), autonomous system motion planning, generative design algorithms, computer vision in quality inspection, and predictive maintenance modeling.

Converged Energy Systems, Microgrids & Electrification: Renewable energy integration, power electronics converters, energy storage system (ESS) management, smart grid resilience, and clean mobility electrification.

Smart Civil Infrastructure, Geo-Technologies & Environmental Engineering: Structural health monitoring, BIM-GIS technical integrations, sustainable building materials, intelligent transport systems, and climate-adaptive civil infrastructure.

Publication Frequency
To ensure rigorous editorial oversight, thorough peer review, and the timely dissemination of converged engineering research, JCET is published semi-annually (2 issues per year, typically scheduled for release in June and December). Special thematic issues focusing on digital twins in industrial infrastructure, AI-driven structural mechanics, or advanced additive manufacturing may be commissioned by the Editorial Board.

Peer Review Process
JCET enforces a strict double-blind peer review policy to maintain the highest standards of technical integrity, experimental repeatability, and methodological validity across all convergent engineering disciplines.

Initial Desk Evaluation: Every submission undergoes a preliminary screening by the Editor-in-Chief or a relevant Subject Editor to assess technical alignment, methodological soundness (numerical simulation rigor, physical testbed validation, prototype verification depth, or mathematical derivation accuracy), and structural compliance. Plagiarism screening via Turnitin/iThenticate is strictly executed at this stage, requiring a similarity index below the journal's maximum threshold.

Expert Peer Review: Manuscripts passing the desk evaluation are anonymized and assigned to at least two independent international reviewers who are established academic researchers, senior engineering specialists, or industrial technology leaders in the relevant domain.

Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editorial Board renders one of four decisions: Acceptance, Revisions Required (Minor/Major), Resubmit for Review, or Rejection. The final decision rests entirely on intellectual merit, technical rigor, cross-disciplinary synergy, and potential industrial or societal impact.

Mission Statement: "The mission of the Journal of Converged Engineering and Technology (JCET) is to elevate global scholarship by bridging hardware, software, materials, and infrastructure engineering to create integrated, resilient, and intelligent technological systems. Grounded in the philosophy that future engineering breakthroughs depend on breaking down traditional disciplinary boundaries, the journal aims to democratize applied technological research by providing an unrestricted platform for global academic, technical, and industrial dialogue. Through the promotion of diverse, rigorous experimental, computational, hardware-in-the-loop, and analytical methodologies, JCET seeks to empower engineering pioneers, inspire technical innovators, and shape future-proof technological paradigms worldwide."
