TechGrid Engineering Journal (TGEJ) is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to publishing pioneering research on interconnected infrastructure systems, grid engineering, smart energy architectures, distributed technology networks, and cyber-physical utility management. Positioned as a premier engineering and infrastructure technology scholarly forum, the journal serves electrical engineers, smart grid specialists, systems integration architects, renewable energy technologists, municipal infrastructure planners, and industrial automation researchers worldwide. TGEJ prioritizes high-impact empirical research, grid-scale computational modeling, distributed control optimization, hardware-in-the-loop experiments, and network resilience evaluations. By synthesizing physical power systems with digital grid intelligence, IoT sensor networks, and high-performance distribution engineering, the journal fosters a deep, comprehensive understanding of how integrated engineering grids ensure energy security, operational efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure resilience.

Scope and Topics
Reflecting its mandate to advance interconnected grid engineering and resilient infrastructure networks, the journal welcomes high-quality original research articles, systematic technical reviews, computational modeling studies, and field-tested engineering evaluations within the following thematic areas:
  • Smart Energy Grids & Power Systems Engineering: Modern power distribution architectures, microgrids, high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems, grid stability modeling, and automated power system protection.
  • Renewable Energy Integration & Distributed Generation: Solar and wind grid interfacing, energy storage systems (ESS) management, grid-edge computing, smart inverters, and power electronics for clean energy networks.
  • Cyber-Physical Infrastructure & Smart Grid Security: Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) in grid management, SCADA system architectures, cyber-security for power grids, fault detection algorithms, and wide-area monitoring systems (WAMS).
  • Smart Cities & Interconnected Infrastructure Grids: Electric vehicle (EV) charging grid impacts, smart water and gas distribution networks, urban infrastructure telemetry, integrated utility management systems, and BIM-GIS grid integrations.
  • Grid Automation, Edge Analytics & Computational Intelligence: Machine learning applications in load forecasting, multi-agent control for microgrids, real-time optimization algorithms, and digital twin frameworks for utility networks.
Publication Frequency
To ensure rigorous editorial oversight, thorough peer review, and the timely dissemination of grid engineering and infrastructure technology research, TGEJ is published semi-annually (2 issues per year, typically scheduled for release in June and December). Special thematic issues focusing on microgrid resilience during extreme weather, AI-driven load forecasting, or cyber-security in critical grid infrastructure may be commissioned by the Editorial Board.

Peer Review Process
TGEJ enforces a strict double-blind peer review policy to maintain the highest standards of technical integrity, experimental repeatability, and methodological validity across electrical, power, and infrastructure engineering disciplines.
  • Initial Desk Evaluation: Every submission undergoes a preliminary screening by the Editor-in-Chief or a relevant Engineering Subject Editor to assess technical alignment, methodological soundness (numerical simulation rigor, hardware testbed validation, circuit modeling accuracy, or mathematical proof correctness), and structural compliance. Plagiarism screening via Turnitin/iThenticate is strictly executed at this stage, requiring a similarity index below the journal's maximum threshold.
  • Expert Peer Review: Manuscripts passing the desk evaluation are anonymized and assigned to at least two independent international reviewers who are established academic researchers, senior power systems engineers, or utility R&D specialists in the relevant domain.
  • Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editorial Board renders one of four decisions: Acceptance, Revisions Required (Minor/Major), Resubmit for Review, or Rejection. The final decision rests entirely on intellectual merit, technical rigor, experimental clarity, and potential industrial or infrastructural impact.

Mission Statement: "The mission of the TechGrid Engineering Journal (TGEJ) is to advance global scholarship by delivering rigorous, evidence-based research that optimizes, modernizes, and secures interconnected utility and technology grids worldwide. Grounded in the philosophy that future societal stability and economic expansion depend on intelligent, decentralized, and resilient grid networks, the journal aims to democratize advanced engineering research by providing an unrestricted platform for global academic, technical, and industrial dialogue. Through the promotion of diverse, rigorous experimental, computational, hardware-in-the-loop, and analytical methodologies, TGEJ seeks to empower power engineers, inspire grid innovators, and shape future-proof infrastructure paradigms worldwide."
